Just some pics- first 2 weeks

I have had a week.

first up, Ian Hawke M. was born March 13th @ 5:22 am, 11 lbs 3 oz, 21.5 in and perfect.

yes, vaginally.

second, we had to transfer to the hospital. and I am still greatly sorting out my feelings and disappointment, and weighing my highs and lows. all is well that ends well, right?

sorry, my body still hurts and am in a funk. when I am not nursing I will post some pictures, he is beautiful and a wonderful addition to our family. I am beyond thrilled that he is here and out and was head down. there were some many signs from God during our birth and I felt His presence every step of the way. He definately made it all possible.

40 week pictures

These are from Sat. when I couldn't get on to post them.

I went to the chiro today because baby boy had flipped to my right side. He was pressing his head against my left hip and it hurt so she got him all turned around. She went ahead and did Webster on me also which really hurt so I guess I needed it. My tailbone was also twisted so that took some time but I feel much better now. Hopefully that was all he needed to get in position and get a move on into this labor thing. I have had a couple of talks with him to let him know it is okay to come out now and that I want to hold him and smell him and kiss him. I told him that lots of people where out here waiting to see him and that it is time for him to come out. I hope he listens :)

Labor Prayer

Dear Father, Thank you for this new baby about to enter the world. Would you protect and nurture this baby and bring this pregnancy to full term. In labor, would you remove all fear and replace it with faith and expectation. Please give those attending the birth wisdom to take the best care of me and baby. Please let this baby be born normal and whole, healthy and strong, and at home with no complications for mother or baby. Father, thank you for hearing my prayer, for I pray in the name of Him who is called Wonderful Counselor, The Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Amen

40 weeks

I am trying to upload my pictures but there is a system error so I'll try again later today. I do want to post a labor prayer that came with my birth kit. No sign of labor yet besides the twinges of pressure I get occasionally on my cervix. I usually have zero pre-labor so I am not expecting anything other than the real thing.

39/40 week check up

A. was all set with her medical kit! She always runs to get it but I have to have an all over check...ears, mouth, heart and all! Oh, and I always get a shot :)

A. sometimes help put the goo on but she always runs to get a towel to wipe it off. She thinks it's ucky. The heartbeat is still such a beautiful sound to hear.

A. helping to wipe off the goo. Those stretch marks look pretty bad from this angle...not one that I can actually see without the camera.

She did ask if I wanted to be checked and I actually accepted out of sheer curiousity. I am at 1 cm but very soft and squishy and she could actually feel his head! That was great news after him being breeched and then being sideways for a bit. She offered to stir up my cervix and I said no, I am not ready and I can wait. My first EDD is tomorrow but going by my LMP it would be the 11th so I can hold out another week or so ;)

39 weeks

Anne, my MW is the one in the background. A. always has to check me and baby boy out each week that Anne comes. Here she was checking the heartbeat.

A. was checking the blood pressure of my and while Anne did my arm! A. loves all my check ups and has her own kit to do it all. Anne always let her help measure and put the goo on the doppler to listen to the heartbeat. I wanted John to get those pictures too but maybe next week.

Here you can see all the new stretch marks that have appeared in the last week. Every baby leaves there mark in a different place and baby boy has decided that my upper belly was in need of some. They itch so bad and when I scratch them, I leave them all red and raised even more. I feel like I could scratch my skin right off and I would be okay with that!

What do you think...about 9 or 10 lbs? That's what I am thinking! A. was 9.9, M. was 9.12, J. was 8.13 but he was induce 9 days early so he def. would have been closer to 10 lbs. I am hoping I break that 10 lb mark just to make everyone's eyes bug out when I tell them...I am all for shocking! I have carried each one differently also so it's hard to tell. I LOVE my belly :)
