Mid week pictures

Madeline was trying to make "scary eyes" to the camera.....that is toilet paper wrapped around her arm because it was "broken"! Someone in her class has a cast and she thinks it it the coolest thing. Today, she used a leg warmer as her cast too!

She takes care of her baby brother so well, like his second mommy.

Here, she is dancing because her jammie pants look "hip hop"!

These 2 love each other like no other

And these 2 do too! This was how our bike ride ended today!

Baseball Saturday

Here is my Johnny man coming in after scoring a run for his team!

And here, the team mom was hugging him up after he got ALL 3 of the outs on the other team in one inning! He felt very good at this moment! It was his revenge after they tagged him out at 2nd base in the inning just before....there, take that!

Random picture Challenge

I am being quite the good little blogger this week with my 3rd post already! Woo hoo me ;P

I thought I would do the random picture challenge from 4 little men and Girly Twins this week. It comes from my April 2008 album, 42nd picture.

Of course it is of Ian, he had just been born so almost every picture in March and April were of him! So he was 4 weeks old on this exact day and you can see how pudgy he really was (remember, he weighed 11 lbs 3 oz at birth!) Most of his time was spent crying and Johnny was just trying to love on him with daddy in bed also off to the side (he probably didn't have a shirt on either!)

Easter family pictures

This is with John's parents and his brother David, Sara(wife), Lauren(5), Nick and Ryan(2 yr old twins)

Ian was asleep for the real egg hunt with the older kids so in the afternoon, we hid a couple of eggs for just him to find.

Showing off all thier eggs with Johnny, of course, looking to see who had the most! Everything in life is a competition for this kid!

Snow on Spring Break

We hiked to the top of Stone Mountain!!! Even my 3 year old peanut made it up all by herself all the way up! It was a beautiful hike but man oh man was it steep near the top. Thankfully they had install guardrails for help. It was one of the best things I have ever done in my life (yeah, I didn't have an adventure packed childhood!!)Ian slept the entire hike in the ergo on John's back....I had to carry all the jackets and backpack :)

Yeah, it snowed! The first time I have ever seen snow! It was actually colder the day before when it was blistery windy. So, no swimming or flip flops on this spring break. Being from Florida, we just don't have clothes for that kind of weather. One night we had to stay in a friend's place because of tornado warnings in the area (an RV is not where we wanted to be) so luckily I got to do some laundry and we just layered up everyday.

The mountain itself was beautiful. It was really windy at the top too. We took the sky lift a couple of times past the carvings. We did all the attractions in the park and watched the laser light show one night.

Our campsite was facing a lake with Stone Mountain in the background....ahhhh, I could've stared at that view and never get tired of it. Unfortunately, I started out the trip really sick and we found ourselves at a doctor's office on Sunday where I got some medicine. Add that to the fact it was a record high pollen count, snow and super crazy cold, and John and I could not call this a vacation but rather a trip. There was just zero relaxing the whole time.

We went into Atlanta on one day to visit the Coke factory and play in the awesome parks in downtown. We even went to the 72nd floor of the Westin to view the skyline of the beautiful city. It was rainy and overcast and hard to see too far but still pretty cool.
All in all, we were very glad to be home after so much time in a vehicle and in cramped quarters with so many bodies! It was a tiring trip but I am so glad I finally saw snow and hiked that amazing mountain. I am happy to live in Florida!!

Spring break

We are leaving tomorrow evening for Stone Mountain in Georgia for Spring break. We will drive as late as we possibly can, get a hotel room for the night, then get up, eat and swim, and continue our drive to the campgrounds. We will be there until Thusday where we plan on a lot of hiking, sightseeing, swimming, and resting whenever possible (yeah right). We have never been on a vacation this long before....we are pros at 2-3 day vacations so surprisingly this will be a first for us. Wish us luck as we will be in the RV together the whole time! The bathroom is tiny so personal time will only be if I can take walks/bike rides by myself!!

Our site is supposed to have wi fi so I should have access but we'll see how possible it will be to get computer time.
